I’m a Jersey girl living in Philly, plotting her next great escape. Welcome to this big world of mine! I’m so happy you’re embarking on this journey with me. My name is Emily, and I’m a junior at Drexel University in Philadelphia. I’ve got two years left on my sentence, so I’m determined to make the most of them by exploring this great big world of ours.

The first time I traveled while in college, August 2018.

If you’ve felt a tugging on your feet to travel to the far reaches of the country, maybe even the world, but your wallet is raising a brow, then you’re in the right place. I have struggled with the notion of saving money in favor of doing what I love ever since I stepped foot on campus.

Who doesn’t want to road trip with their friends?

A beautiful day in Paris, January 2020.

So, after spending my freshman year cooped up in a 12 by 10 jail cell in fear of burning through my savings, I threw all of my worries out the window and booked an Airbnb in Maine. Since then, I have embarked on wildly fun trips from Las Vegas to Paris. If I can do it on a ramen budget, you can too!

Why stick with me on this journey around the world? If you’re questioning how you can ever travel while staring down adulthood and student debt, I’ll show you how to do just that!
